it is there as a security blanket nearby, like your phone, unnecessary but for some illusionary reason you feel safer, more protected, with a wall, a barrier around you... maybe just in case you need it, like a parachute, like your water bottle, just in case you literally die of thirst. You will be ok. You don't need it, you don't even want it, you just think you do.
